Abstract
This report is devoted to the investigation of the influence of effective collision electron frequency and plasma density radial non-uniformity on the phase characteristics, spatial attenuation and wave field structure of slow symmetric electromagnetic waves that propagate along cylindrical waveguide structure. The waveguide structure consists of radially non-uniform column of isotropic plasma that is surrounded by the dielectric and placed in metallic waveguide. We have shown that both collision frequency and density non-uniformity affect the wave characteristics and consequently, on the parameters of gas discharge sustained by this wave.
