Abstract

Abstract The scattering phase function expressions of one single Fe3O4 particles (nanoparticles, microparticles) were obtained with Mie. Then the relationship between scattering phase function and scattering angle of Fe3O4 spherical particles with different scales with MATLAB. At last, COMSOL Multiphysics was used to model and analyze the energy attenuation of electromagnetic waves with a frequency of 2–18 GHz when they were passing through a sphere space randomly distributed by nano-Fe3O4 spherical particles. The variation trend between dielectric loss and magnetic loss in spherical space with frequency was obtained. Moreover, the energy loss of nano-Fe3O4 obtained by Mie and COMSOL simulation was compared.
