Abstract
A normalized two-dimensional band-limitedWeierstrass fractal function is used for modelling the rough surface. Ananalytic solution of the scattered field and variance of scatteredintensity from this Weierstrass fractal surface is given based on theKirchhoff theory. The result shows that the scattering pattern in the nearforward direction can be approximated to the slope of a linear equation. PACS: 41. 20. -q, 42. 25. Fx
