Abstract

The scattering of plane electromagnetic waves from circular cross-section cylinders, longitudinally corrugated to realize anisotropic structures, is analyzed. The solution is devised at oblique incidence and for an arbitrary polarization of the incident wave using a rigorous Floquet modal expansion of the field. The implementation of the procedure is discussed with emphasis to its numerical efficiency.
