Abstract

Electromagnetic perturbations on $\ensuremath{\pi}\mathrm{NN}$ and $\ensuremath{\pi}N{N}^{*}$ couplings are studied in the $N\ensuremath{-}{N}^{*}$ reciprocal boot-strap model. We perform explicit calculations for both linear and curved $D$ functions. The linear-$D$ results agree with the conclusions reached in the previous paper. No enhancement of eigenvectors with eigenvalue equal to (or near to) +1 occurs, and thus our results are not accurate numerically. We do expect, however, that the prediction of very small effects ($\frac{\ensuremath{\delta}R}{R}\ensuremath{\cong}1%$) is reliable.
