Abstract
We calculate the effect, on the radiative muon decay, of arbitrary magnetic and electric quadrupole moments for the intermediate vector boson. We find that the differential decay rate is modified to order\(M_\mu ^2 /M_W^2 and M_\mu ^4 /M_W^4 \) respectively. The spectra are examined as possible means of determining the magnetic moment of the W±. Unless the vector boson mass is very large, this effect is not beyond detection. We also consider the effect of an electric dipole moment.
