Abstract
The authors show that the mass velocity profile in a detonation wave can be measured with electrode geometry, and they discuss the conditions necessary for the simultaneous measurement of mass velocity and electrical conductivity. A diagram illustrates the experimental scheme for measuring these values in stainless steel tubes equipped with differentiating magnetic sensors. Charts present data on dimensionless mass velocity profiles and pressure profiles behind detonation fronts in gases.
