Abstract
In the current study, we have investigated magnetic, structural, ac conductivity and Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding effectiveness (SE) performance of Polyaniline (PANI)/Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanocomposites. Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles were prepared via solution combustion method and PANI/Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanocomposites through in situ polymerization method. Ac conductivity studies on synthesized samples were performed in the frequency range 50Hz-5MHz. ac conductivity studies affirms that the electrical conduction mechanism in the synthesized samples is in accordance with the electron hopping model. Magnetic behavior of the prepared samples were studied at room temperature using vibrating sample magnetometer technique. SE value of PANI/Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanocomposites is higher than that of Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanoparticles. Higher SE values of PANI/Cu0.5Mn0.5Fe2O4 nanocomposites indicates that these composites can be a promising functional materials for Electromagnetic Interference shielding.
