Abstract

In the present study, a combination of Lanthanum ferrite (LaFeO3) magnetic nanoparticles with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) and graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) was prepared and used as conducting filler. As prepared Nanofillers were incorporated with the Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with the melt blending process. The polymer composite was used to study the electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding behaviour from 8.2 to 12.4 GHz. The electromagnetic (EM) wave shielding was ascribed to the dielectric and magnetic loss phenomena by incorporating graphene, MWCNT, and LaFeO3. The maximum shielding effectiveness of 33.57 dB was obtained with the critical concentration of 50:5:40:5 wt% sample.
