Abstract

When an rf magnetic field is applied to the YBa2Cu3O7 superconductor under a dc magnetic field, penetrating fluxoids induce a longitudinal acoustic waves through pinning, provided that the rf and dc fields are parallel. Conversely, a longitudinal wave, launching into the superconductor under a dc magnetic field, generates an rf field through the vibration of pinned fluxoids.
