Abstract

The experimental investigation of metal clusters in molecular beams is compared with results obtained in matrix, for optical and magnetic resonance experiments. Related experiments in the range of molecules on the one hand and in the quantum size effect regime are discussed. The molecular beam magnetic resonance appears to be a good method for investigating the structures of small odd numbered clusters.
