Abstract
This paper presents analysis methods for improving the electromagnetic characteristics of a high-speed electrical multiple unit (EMU) train with a 1:1 finite-element analysis model. Both electromagnetic distribution diagrams and numerical field data have been analyzed. With this method, optimal electromagnetic conditions for the EMU compartment could be feasibly obtained, while the optimization evaluation could also be more efficient. The project cycle could be shortened, and the cost could be reduced dramatically at the same time.
