Abstract

Electrical machines are integrated widely in novel applications like hybrid electric vehicles. The field of machine prognosis is expending and evolving rapidly. It aims to assure the proper operation of the machine. Finite element model is the best way to model and optimize electrical machine. In this paper, we will take advantage of the accuracy of finite element method to generate the electromagnetic and vibration model of electrical machine in healthy state and faulty state. We aim to observe the performance of the machine in the two cases and extract a useful measured parameter that will be beneficial in fault prognosis.
