Abstract

Electroluminescence (EL) of some bis-naphthalimide compounds has been studied. The EL spectra show that the peak wavelength of EL is in excellent agreement with the energy of the charge separation states of these donor–acceptor bis-naphthalimide compounds. This indicates that EL of these donor–acceptor compounds is derived from the recombination for their respective charge separation states.
