Abstract

The magnetic properties of CoPt electrodeposited alloys are related to their microstructure and crystallographic preferred orientation. Magnets with perpendicular, isotropic or parallel anisotropy can be produced varying the deposition conditions and adding W or Zn. Cobalt platinum interaction was investigated by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
