Abstract

The conditions of chromium-molybdenum plating from the electrolytes based on chromium(III) compounds are studied. It is shown that the deposits containing to 2 wt % molybdenum can be obtained by introducing sodium molybdate into the composition of electrolytes based on chromium(III) compounds. The introduction of molybdenum into the composition of chromium electrodeposits enhances their corrosion resistance in the media containing chloride ions.
