Abstract

CdS thin films have been prepared from non-aqueous solvent using electrodeposition technique. Na 2S 2O 3, CdSO 4 and EDTA (ethylene-diaminetetra-acetic acid tetrasodium salt) were dissolved in ethylene glycol (EG) and structural and optical properties of CdS films have been studied. The X-ray diffraction showed that CdS films are polycrystalline in nature, with single hexagonal phase. Optical absorption showed that bandgap of CdS is 2.45 eV.
