Abstract

The electrode configuration of the high-voltage low pressure glow discharge with a cylindrical cathode for producing the annular beam of electrons is studied in this paper. Supposing that the space charge density is equal to zero the distribution of the electric field in the region between the electrodes is determined. The distribution of the electric field governs the processes in the discharge.
