Abstract

As basic characteristics of the interaction of loaded metals with corrosive media, one can use the electric and electrode potentials. For a metal cylinder in a medium and a circular notch in the cylinder filled with the medium, this problem was studied in [1, 2]. In what follows, we determine the influence of the stress-strain state on the distribution of the electrode potential over the contour of a cylinder of radius R placed in a medium and subjected to the action of forces distributed along the generatrix. Consider a cross section of the cylinder (Fig. 1). It is assumed that concentrated forces P1 parallel to the Ox-axis are applied at points z1 and z2 of its contour and forces P2 parallel to the Oy-axis are applied at points z3 and z4 . The stress-strain state is regarded as known [3].
