Abstract

Differential electrical migration in an ammoniacal solution of oxalate plus cyanide provides a complete separation of thallium ions from silver ions and from various polyvalent cations. Migration in an ammoniacal solution of ammonia- triacetic acid provides a complete separation of silver ions from thallium ions and from various polyvalent cations. Migration in ammoniacal oxalate solution provides a separation of silver plus thallium ions from various polyvalent cations. These migrations in the presence of complexforming solutes are rapid and complete even at minute concentrations of the ions. (auth)
