Abstract
Electrooxidation of trifluoroacetic acid in the presence of dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate in an acetonitrile/water solution provided cis and trans dimethyl 2,3-bis(trifluoromethyl)maleates and dimethyl 2,2,3-tris(trifluoromethyl)succinate as the main products.
