Abstract

A new electrochemical technique for studying and performing redox reactions of uranium and transuranium elements as well as for their determination in flow-through conditions is described. The technique is based on the application of flow through electrolyzer with space porous working electrode made from carbon fiber material. The following aspects of the application of the electrochemical techniques were investigated and discussed: derivative coulography for analytical purposes and for determination of parameters of electrochemical processes, coulometric determination of U and Pu in nitric acid solutions in flow through conditions, electrochemical stabilization of oxidation states of U, Np and Pu in flow through conditions both in water solutions and in extraction chromatography separating systems, chemically modified column electrode and electrodeposition of insoluble compounds. The techniques are applicable in industrial scales as well
