The applications of electrochemical methods for studies of the metal complexation of bioactive molecules are reviewed. With typical examples taken mainly from the experience of the author, it is shown how the experimental procedures and, in particular, the evaluation methods have had to be modified to satisfy the special conditions of biocoordination chemistry.
