Abstract

A brief overview is given of electrochemical studies in steady high magnetic fields at the High Field Laboratory of Tohoku University. The usefulness of high magnetic fields is illustrated in the control of electrochemical reactions and electrodeposit morphology through the magnetohydrodynamic effect and the effect of diamagnetic orientation.
