Abstract
In this paper, ZnO thin films and ZnO/8-hydroxyquinoline zinc (Znq 2 ) hybrid thin films were obtained by electrodeposition. The SEM photographs illustrate that the adsorption of dyes during the deposition modifies the crystal growth of ZnO and changes the surface morphology of the films significantly. The existence of strong interaction between dye and ZnO molecules in the film is indicated by the fluorescence spectra of Znq 2 powder and ZnO/Znq 2 film.
