Abstract

When an anodic current density of 0.5 mA. cm -2 is applied during 60 s through acetonitrile solutions containing, 5 mM SNS + 0.1 M LiClO 4 , adherent and uniform poly(SNS) films are electrogenerated on a platinum electrode. These polymeric films can be electrodissolved in the background solution when a cathodic current density is applied. They can be also electrodeposited from solutions of the reduced polymer in the background solution by flow of an anodic current. In this work the influence of different electrolytes: tetraethylammonium perchlorate (TEAClO 4 ), tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAClO 4 ) and tetrahexyl-ammonium perchlorate (THAClO 4 ) in electrogeneration, electrodissolution and electro deposition processes has been studied.
