Abstract
New graphite bi-intercalation compounds with BiCl 3/H 2SO 4, InCl 3/H 2SO 4 and BiCl 3/AuBr x have been prepared. It could be proved that the insertion of bisulfate starts at each free interlayer gap at the same time. Furthermore two tri-intercalation compounds with BiCl 3/AuBr x/H 2SO 4 and BiCl 3/AuBr x/TlCl 3, respectively, and a quadri-intercalation compound with BiCl 3/AuBr x/TlCl 3/H 2SO 4 could be obtained.
