Abstract
Potential-time and linear polarisation data for commercial metallic coatings on steel strip in 1 N NaCl solution have been determined to investigate the connection between the coating corrosion rate and the difference in potential of the coating and steel. High coating corrosion rates were associated with large difference in potential with steel.
