Abstract
The paper presents the results of an experimental study of the growth kinetics of single silver crystals electrochemically deposited on a platinum substrate. It is shown that the growth mechanism obeys the kinetic law derived for the case of joint ohmic, diffusion and ion transfer limitations in the presence of a specified quantity of supporting electrolyte. Data are obtained for the diffusion coefficient and for the exchange current density of silver in aqueous solution of silver nitrate.
