Abstract

Electrolysis of Fp2 (cyclopentadienyl iron(II) dicarbonyl dimer) in the presence of different chlorosilanes led to the formation of substances of the type FpSiR3 (R = H, Me, Ph) containing iron-silicon bonds. These compounds could be isolated and crystallized. Due to this success the reaction was also performed in the presence of germanium and tin chlorides.
