Abstract

A uniform composite film of polypyrrole and silanol was prepared by electropolymerizing pyrrole in acetonitrile electrolyte containing silanol. By annealing this composite film at 400°C, a polypyrrole/silicon oxide composite film was obtained. This composite film evaluated by Auger electron spectroscopy, UV‐vis spectroscope and atomic force microscopy. The composite film was applied as a hole transporting layer of the organic electroluminescence (EL) device with an emission layer of coumarin 6 to enhance the durability of this EL device.
