Abstract

In this study, using self-assembly and electrostatic interactions we developed a sensitive 2D graphene-gold nanoparticles nanocomposite. Morphological and structural characterization confirmed the presence of crystalline 2D sp2 hybridized graphitic carbon material. The fabricated interface materials displayed fast electrocatalytic response to increasing molar addition of amoxicillin with linear detection range (LDR) from 4,25 × 10−1 µM – 2,92 × 102 µM while4,25 × 10−1 µM is the detection limit (LoD) and the sensitivity was found to be 2,04 × 103 µA/µMcm−2 for GCE/Gr/AuNP/Lac fabricated bioelectrode. DFT calculations were used to determine the most stable amoxicillin configuration on Gr/AuNP electrode surface.
