Abstract

Electrochemical conversion of CO 2 to CO with high intrinsic activity, selectivity, and stability was demonstrated on a low-valent Ni single-atom catalyst. The nature of catalytic sites and their evolutions under catalytic condition were identified, which should provide important guidance toward building efficient electrocatalysts for CO 2 reduction.
