Abstract
The electrolytic oxidation of EDTA (ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid) and the EDTA complexes of Fe2+,3+ was investigated at Pt and pure electrodes and and mixed oxide‐film electrodes deposited on the Pt substrate. The reactivity of the mixed oxide electrodes was significantly greater than for the Pt and electrodes. The application of this phenomena is suggested for reduction of the mass of radioactive wastes generated by the cleaning of steam generators in nuclear power plants.
