Abstract

AbstractThe ability of polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) techniques to resolve individual proteins of complex mixtures has resulted in this group of methods being indispensable to the protein biochemist. Although PAGE procedures can provide characterization of proteins in terms of their charge, size, relative hydrophobicity, and abundance, they provide no direct clues to the identity or function of the separated components.KeywordsTransfer TimeBlotting MembraneRelative HydrophobicityInternal Amino Acid SequenceBlotting BufferThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors.
