Abstract

AbstractIn order to achieve the best possible atmospheric corrections using its deformable mirrors, the Extremely Large Telescope (ELT) and its instruments will depend on several different wavefront sensor cameras as part of its adaptive optics systems. LISA, one of three wavefront sensor cameras that have been developed in‐house at ESO, will utilize a custom‐designed, large‐format CMOS detector developed by ESO and Teledyne‐e2v: the Large Visible adaptive optics Sensor Module, LVSM, an pixel sensor capable of operation at speeds in excess of 700 frames per second. We present the results of the electro‐optical characterization of this detector.
