Abstract

Solid Electrolyte Interphases In article number 2103589, Aleksandar Matic, Shizhao Xiong and and co-workers build an electro-chemo-mechanical model of a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) on Li and reveal the correlation between the physical properties of the SEI and the electrodeposition behavior of Li. This work disentangles the role of the ionic conductivity and mechanical strength of the SEI on the morphology evolution of electrodeposited Li, providing a guide to future design and optimization of artificial SEIs for Li metal anodes.
