Abstract

1. A study was made of the effect of temperature upon the electrical resistivities, thermo-emf's, thermal conductivities, and coefficients of thermal expansion of alloys of the ZrC-ZrN system. It is shown that the properties assume extreme values at the composition ZrC0.6N0.4. 2. The alloys ZrC0.6N0.4 and ZrC0.4N0.6 have small values of TCR and CTE and thermal conductivity values comparable with those of metals, and can therefore be recommended for use as current-conducting phases of resistors.
