Abstract
A novel electrically tunable rectangular-waveguide band-stop filter, with variable bandwidth, based on frequency-selective surface (FSS) elements is presented. Variation of the bandwidth is made possible irrespective of the electrical-frequency tuning of the FSS elements, by mechanical rotation of the FSS substrate. The numerical results, which agree well with the experimental observations, are also presented. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
