Abstract

The resistivity of a series of (PdNi)Mn alloys containing between 0.5 and 3.0 at.%Mn has been measured from 1.5 to 25K. Various estimates for the magnetic ordering temperature are extracted from these data and are compared with those found previously from AC susceptibility measurements on this system. The incremental resistivity data enable estimates for spin-dependent and spin-independent coupling constants between local Mn moments and conduction electrons to be made, together with values for the acoustic spin-wave stiffness D.
