Abstract

The dielectric properties of solid solutions in the KCl-KBr system are investigated. By comparing the melting points of the compounds and the activation energies for migration of current carriers a correlation is derived between the melting point of the solid solution and the activation energy. It is shown that the solid solution has a decreased impurity capture coefficient and increased aggregation of single vacancies.
