Abstract
Electrical properties of a newly synthesized K+ ion conducting solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs): (1-x)PEO: xKCl, where 0 ≤ x ≤ 50 in wt%., are reported. Electrical properties of newly synthesized SPEs have been investigated with the help of ionic conductivity (σ), ionic mobility (µ), mobile ion concentration (n), ionic transference number (tion) and ionic drift velocity (vd) studies at room temperature and above. Polymer-salt complexation has been carried out with the help of scanning electron micrograph (SEM) and thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA). The overall increase in ionic conductivity of the current SPE is due to the increase in both µ and n.
