Abstract

THE results of measurements of the electrical mobility in air of radioactive sub-micron spherical polystyrene particles are reported here. They include measurements for particles of size comparable with the mean free path of gas molecules which are difficult to treat theoretically. It is believed that no direct determinations of the electrical mobility of well defined solid particles have hitherto been made in this size range.
