Abstract
Never underestimate the severity of the injury. History taking must be meticulous and thorough. Accurately assess percent of skin loss--fluid resuscitate as necessary. Monitor for the presence of cardiac arrhythmias. Observe for the development of compartment syndrome. Observe volume and colour of passed urine. Seek expert opinion.
