Abstract

We fabricated two kinds of sandwiched magnetostrictive/piezoelectric composite and studied their magnetoelectric and electrical impedance properties. It was found that the electrical impedance resonance (fr) and anti-resonance (fanti−r) frequencies were, respectively, corresponded to the converse and direct magnetoelectric resonance ones. An equivalent circuit was developed to explain this phenomenon. The experimental result may be helpful in designing the magnetoelectric transducers.
