Abstract
Recently, an experimental evidence for the magnetoelectric (ME) coupling in a bianisotropic particle (BAP) has been observed experimentally and the role of different types of surface metalization on this ME effect has also been studied. This paper elucidates the emergence of ME coupling in a BAP composed of a ferrite disk resonator with a surface metalization numerically by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method and experimentally. Both numerical and experimental results of a BAP show that the ferrite resonator can be excited by an electric field, and thus evidence of ME coupling in a BAP is presented.
