Abstract

Amorphous V 2 O 5 and Li x V 2 O 5 ( x = 0.06,0.104, 0.12, 0.18) thin films have been obtained by flash evaporation. The flash evaporated V 2 O 5 films are more homogeneous and exhibit higher conductivities than vapor deposited films. A computer analysis of the conductivity curves, according to Schnakenberg's model, showed that the disorder is much lower. The same behaviour was also observed for amorphous α -Li x V 2 O 5 films. For higher amounts of Li the conductivity decreases probably as a result of phase separation.
