Abstract

Based on earlier experience with γ-zirconium phosphate (γ-ZrP), we prepared the γ-titanium phosphate (γ-TiP) and it various transition metals containing forms. Their structure (identified by XRD), their thermal behaviour and their specific surface area are determined and their electrical resistance was measured. On the basis of experimental data the monoclinic cell parameters for Co(II), Ni(II), Mn(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) containing crystalline titanium phosphates were calculated. They showed characteristic thermal decomposition and have different specific conductivity at different temperature.
