Abstract

The influence of the activation of zinc oxide in vacuo and of the poisoning by oxygen on electrical conductivity of the catalyst is examined. The chemical approach to the equilibrium of defects gives a consistent picture for the chemisorption of oxygen as O− and O2− ions.
