Abstract

The a.c. electrical conductivity both of compressed pellets and of single crystals of ammonium perchlorate has been measured at a frequency of 1591 Hz from room temperature up to decomposition temperatures. The observed effects of annealing and partial decomposition emphasize the need for considerable caution in accepting various defect models for the conductivity that have been proposed in the literature.
